MC: Jake Moody Released by 49ers

San Francisco 49ers have released placekicker Jake Moody this week. Moody had a stellar rookie year in 2023, going 21 of 25 (84%) FGs made.

Moody missed a crucial PAT in Super Bowl LVIII, and didn’t seem to recover moving into the following year. In 2024, the kicker fell to 24/34 (70.6%). After a questionable training camp and preseason, Moody went 1/3 (33.3%) in week one of 2025, resulting in his release.
